Robot rehabilitation

A solution as varied as the problems

Sewer repairs using the latest robot systems

Rehabilitation using inner lining alone is often inadequate for some damaged areas in sewers. This applies to many defects in the vicinity of connections and, in principle, where material has to be removed for the first time for the purpose of rehabilitation. Robot systems generally offer a good, and in many situations, the only rehabilitation option in inaccessible sewer systems.

Rapid, versatile and enduring: localised rehabilitation by robot

The robot system, which is operated from a control station above the surface, can be fitted with a broad range of tools. Controlled by our experienced operators, the robot solves a multitude of prevailing problems in the sewer system in this manner:

  • milling of protruding obstacles and connection fittings
  • reaming of incrustations and deposits, including concrete
  • reaming of sleeves, cracks and broken edges
  • reaming of protruding root systems
  • filling of cavities and wall surface defects through injection
  • grouting of cracks and joints
  • prevention of  infiltration and exfiltration
  • rehabilitation of connection pieces using mobile pneumatic shuttering
  • opening of liners installed in connection area

Top performance robot systems: rehabilitation of connection fittings

Robotic-based renewal has now become virtually the standard application on the market for the enduring rehabilitation of connection fittings. Following the removal of projecting components, pneumatic shuttering is positioned in the connection fittings using the robot. Epoxy resin or synthetically modified mortar is injected into this shuttering, filling both cavities and possible flaws completely in the process. The result of the rehabilitation is a fully plastic connection fitting restored to complete functionality with the quality and durability of a new component.

A perfect combination: robot systems and liner technology

Our robot and liner systems form a perfect combination. Tubular, short pipe or close fit lining can seldom be realised without the connections being milled in advance by robot and deposits or other obstacles removed. Moreover, the robot is indispensable following successful tubular lining rehabilitation where opening of the connection fittings with centimetre precision is required. The availability of the latest robot systems in our organisation ensures the speedy and smooth installation of our liners in your sewers.

Applications only realised with DIBT approval

All resins and modified mortar systems which we inject during robot rehabilitation possess a valid building inspection authorisation issued by the German Institute for Structural Engineering, Berlin (DIBT). Accordingly, they offer first-class quality in the field of effluents, are chemically and mechanically resistant and absolutely environmentally compatible.
